NFLPA Assets Continue To Climb

The NFL Players Association, facing the possibility of a lockout in 2011, continues to expand its assets, which hit $293.2 million as of the end of the union’s fiscal year on Feb. 29, 2008, according to the NFLPA’s annual report.

That total increased 11 percent, or nearly $30 million, from a year ago.

NFL Owners Opt Out Of Labor Agreement

The NFL owners voted unanimously Tuesday to end their agreement with the players’ union in 2011, two years before the deal was to expire.
