LPGA Tour and World Golf Hall of Fame member Betsy King is leading an LPGA member initiative, Golf Fore Africa, that raises funds to help orphaned children and those made vulnerable by AIDS in Africa. It is a members’ charity initiative of the LPGA, which provides care and support for Mudasomwa, a community in Rwanda.

In October of 2007, King traveled with LPGA pros Juli Inkster, Reilley Rankin and Katherine Hull to Rwanda to see firsthand what kind of help was needed. More than $200,000 has been raised, with a goal of $250,000.

During a recent LPGA tour stop, King headlined a list of current LPGA players including Juli Inkster, Pat Hurst, Angela Stanford, Reilley Rankin and Katherine Hull in a golf clinic with proceeds benefiting Golf Fore Africa.

The golf clinic was hosted by the Desert Highlands Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ.
