NHL Approves Predators Deal For Erat
The NHL has approved the seven-year, $31.5 million dollar contract for Nashville Predators forward Martin Erat.
The original deal, which was announced Monday, was rejected by the league because it did not conform to the Collective Barganing Agreement.
According to the Tennessean, the two sides took $250,000 out of the seventh year of Erat’s salary and moved it to the sixth year. The final salary sum and term length were not affected.
Erat, 26, scored a career high 26 goals this past season and tied a personal best with 57 points. The Predators selected Erat with the 191st overall pick in the 1999 Entry Draft.
The 6-foot-0, 195-pound left winger played for the Czech Republic at the IIHF World Championships in Halifax and Quebec City, scoring six points.
