Golf Clinic To Benefit Golf Fore Africa
LPGA Tour and World Golf Halls of Fame members Betsy King and Juli Inkster headline a group of six LPGA players hosting a golf clinic to benefit Golf Fore Africa next Monday, Mar. 24 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Desert Highlands Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. They will be joined by LPGA members Pat Hurst, Angela Stanford, Reilley Rankin and Katherine Hull for the 90-minute clinic followed by a reception.
Golf Fore Africa raises funds to help orphaned children and those made vulnerable by AIDS in Africa. It is a members’ charity initiative of the LPGA, which provides care and support for Mudasomwa, a community in Rwanda. Last October, King, Inkster, Rankin and Hull traveled with a group from World Vision to Rwanda to see first-hand what kind of help was needed. To date, more than $200,000 has been raised with a goal of $250,000 by the end of March.
