A-Rod Lists Miami Home For $15 Million

Yankee Stadium isn’t the only home Alex Rodriguez is saying goodbye to this off-season.

The slugger has put his sprawling South Florida villa up for sale, with an asking price of almost $15 million.

That’s close to $3 million more than A-Rod paid when he and wife Cynthia bought it as their family home in December 2004.

The 8,310-square-foot waterfront villa in Coral Gables has six bedrooms, five full baths, three half baths, a swimming pool and a three-car garage, and sits on more than one acre of land in a posh, gated community. It was built in 1952.

C-Rod had asked to keep the home when she filed for divorce from her supposedly straying hubby earlier this year.

While the divorce has not yet been finalized, the pair reached a settlement agreement that apparently allows for the sale.

“They’re getting along well and focusing on raising their children,” one of Cynthia’s lawyers, Maurice Kutner, told the Miami Herald.

The paper said Cynthia, 35, has been house-hunting in the area for a new home for her and their daughters, Natasha, 3, and Ella, 5 months. Her parents live nearby. A-Rod, 33, who also has a pad on Park Avenue, has been staying in nearby Star Island, the paper said.

The $14.8 million price tag might be hefty given the current state of the economy, but the Bomber can afford to wait out the market - he just finished the first year of a 10-year, $275 million contract with the Yanks.
