Eli Manning polished more than his reputation with his four-game march to the Super Bowl. He fattened his bank account as well. According to a report in the Sports Business Journal, Manning made $1.5 million in incentives for winning the Super Bowl.

Manning’s agent, Tom Condon, was quoted in the article as saying that specific type of incentive is more common for quarterbacks selected No. 1 overall, such as Eli Manning, his brother Peyton, Tim Couch and Alex Smith.

According to the article, Manning collected $250,000 for the first playoff win, $500,000 for the second, $250,000 for the third and the balance for the Super Bowl.

Of course, being the Super Bowl-winning quarterback greatly enhances his marketability.
