This year the respected family-owned jeweler celebrates its ninety-fifth anniversary with a dedicated commitment to its loyal customers and a magnificent store expansion.
“The celebration of the ninety-fifth anniversary of King Jewelers makes 2007 a truly special year for our family and friends,” says Scott King. “The recent expansion of the King’s showroom has allowed us to create a European-lifestyle shopping experience as well as the opportunity to add luxury brands such as Chanel, DeWitt, and Jaquet Droz. My family’s passion for classic and fashion-forward jewelry designs, coupled with our love for watches, has established King Jewelers as South Florida’s ultimate luxury landmark.”
This fall, King Jewelers underwent an exciting store expansion that extended the showroom from 5,000 to 8,000 square feet, nearly doubling its size.
“Our new salon features shop-in-shop boutiques from Breitling, Bvlgari, Harry Winston, Jaeger-LeCoultre and IWC,” explains David King. “The expansion includes an exclusive luxury men’s salon with the best of the best, from watches, jewelry, pens and cufflinks to watch winders and accessories. Additional features include a ‘watchmaker in a window’ where a watchmaker will be in the watch salon and viewable as people walk by from the outside, private viewing rooms, two seating areas, and a full, sit down bar area with plasma televisions. The expansion also showcases Hearts on Fire and Jay Strongwater boutique areas as well as a corporate gift area.”
The atmosphere of the newly designed King Jewelers showroom is warm and inviting, allowing customers to relax and enjoy browsing the store’s enticing collection of elegant jewelry, fine Swiss watches and luxury accessories. Warm colors and soft woods create a modern and elegant environment while a variety of music can be heard in the background, from Frank Sinatra to Bob Marley to Italian opera.
King Jewelers prides itself not only on its unyielding commitment to service and selection but also on the relationships it has built with its customers. “We pride ourselves on the fact that we have developed long-lasting and intimate relationships with clients who have also become friends,” says Maxine King.
Over the years, King Jewelers has also established friendships with a variety of celebrities and A-list names. For example, the jeweler was recently selected to provide the jewelry and timepieces for Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade to wear at a recent magazine photo shoot. Two-time Grammy award-winning artists The Fugees selected King Jewelers to adorn them in jewels and fine timepieces for their cover story, in Essence Magazine, for the groups reunion.
Since its inception, King Jewelers has always believed in giving back to the community it has called home for nearly a century. Over the last year, the King family has hosted a number of fundraising events for a variety of local charities, among them the Udonis Haslem Foudation for Children, Jim Brown’s Amer-I-Can Foundation, the Children’s Cancer Caring Center, the Miller School of Medicine’s Center for Urologic Research, Education and Diseases (CURED) and the new Holocaust Documentation & Education Center and Museum in Hollywood, Florida. And this hoiliday season, King Jewelers will host a toy drive for Udonis Haslem’s Children Foundation where friends are asked to bring a wrapped gift to king Jewelers for the kids.
